It is not your traditional swim-bike-run format either, rather a 38-mile point-to-point adventure triathlon starting with a bike, followed by a run/swim journey (on sandy trails and in kettle ponds) before ending in Wellfleet for a full meal and after-party. Due to the nature of this race there are qualification standards that must be met.  For the first time ever, an athletic competition is being allowed to enter the scenic lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore.
